Is MDF suitable for a tank cover when painted in oil paint or is thin ply better?
Looking for a light weight but stiff panels to cover my stand.
I find ply can bow a bit unless you go thick.

MDF is fine as long as you use a good sealer/undercoat on it and if it gets wet dry it off with a cloth.
