Hi

I’ve sorta let my tank go abit since suphew passed away but really want to get back into the scene.

This week the house is getting recarpetted so it’s a good excuse to start again.
I have a 500 later tank with sump. I was going to put my fish in a couple of plastic bins.
I’ve had the small brown glass anemones take over after some coral purchases (I’ll disinfect next time) so I may as well start afresh.

Plan is
1. empty the tank and sump two days early and totally clean out both and temporarily move it to the other side of the house, under new carpet is laid. I’ll then resite it back where it was.
2. All rock and sand needs to be cleaned. Is there a fast method to reseed, I’ve read of 14 day cycles. Can’t recall if it was using Zeovit?
3. Clean and sterilise pumps and heaters with vinegar? Not sure if this will kill the glass anemones?
3. Replace fish in tank without any, rock and sand while I’m cleaning the old stuff.
4. Start a cycle again. Should I add a few pieces of rock at a time or just go for it will all my rock.

Nb. If I use bleach on my rocks do I just keep rinsing til I can smell anything?
Ps if any wellington fish keepers have some larf

Thanks for any advice.

Vinegar will kill the anemones.
