Hey everyone,

I've been keeping fresh water tanks for years now and finally decided to do a small/nano salt tank.

Image
~8 month old fresh (12g? don’t remember):
guppies / barbs / cory cat / pleco / loaches

Image
~2 month old fresh (maybe a gallon)
small fresh planted - aggressive guppy trio and pygmy cory

fluval flex 57L (15G)

-some dry rock I picked up cheap
-one huge piece of wet rock I got from my lfs (~5lbs on the right - dipped in rodi first)
-added a dead shrimp for a few days but pulled him out once ammonia was around 2, still been ghost feeding though (good/bad?) - also added some bacteria
-small wave maker (will be replaced)

Image
-first slot is dry rock rubble pieces packed in and heater
-slot two is the standard foam/carbon/bio
-slot 3 stock pump - debating throwing a more powerful pump in here and maybe chaeto in the remaining space above
-planning on grabbing a nano skimmer for slot 1 to share w/ less rubble (any recommendations?)

I tried to do terraces/shelves but I've never worked with rock before!

Planning on just a clown pair, gobby, cleaner shrimp, hermits and some snails (with some coral later once I know what I’m doing, probably zoas first right?)

Finally seeing ammonia -> nitrogen cycle in the tests

Salt @ 1.024/5 (depending on evaporation)

*best places to buy livestock / coral around Auckland? Thanks everyone.
